This Internet site is made available to you by Red Hot Plants (redhotplants.co.uk). The use of this Internet site is subject to the following terms and conditions. The use of this site is conditional on your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

DELIVERY
Our goods are despatched free to UK mainland destinations only. Please telephone or email for a quote before ordering if you live outside the UK mainland. The goods are dispatched by carrier and we aim to deliver them within 2-14 working days of receiving your order. You have the option to give a different delivery address to the card address. This means that you can have the parcel sent to e.g. your workplace or to a friend as a gift. As a signature is required to acknowledge delivery, please try and give an address where there will be someone present to sign for the good(s) between 9.00a.m. and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The signature of the person accepting delivery at the delivery address will be proof that you or the person to whom the order is addressed has received the delivery.

Please check your goods when delivered and refuse any damaged goods. Please notify us within 3 working days if there is any shortages or damages. If you are interested in purchasing from outside the UK please email us with your enquiry. mail@redhotplants.co.uk

ORDER ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Your order will be acknowledged by email on the understanding that delivery is subject to availability. When items are out of stock, we will endeavour to prevent orders being placed for that item. If, in the event of you placing an order and we subsequently find the item you have chosen is unavailable you shall be notified via your e-mail address. If we are unable to deliver your order within 30 working days you will be contacted by either email or telephone.

PAYMENT
When you proceed to checkout, you will be asked to give your name and address for delivery and your email address for confirmation. You will then be passed to Worldpay which is a secure server where you will be asked to enter details of your debit or credit card.You can pay either by VISA, Master Card, Switch, Paypal or Delta.

When you reach the point at which sensitive information needs to be passed to us, you will see a padlock at the bottom of your browser window, and may see a popup window telling you that you are entering a secure area. Clicking on the padlock will give you information about the secure area, where your credit card details are processed and encrypted. The certificate can only be signed by trusted organisations and guarantees a high level of security.

We will accept cheques, if they are posted to us with a printed copy of our order form. You will not receive an acknowledgement of your order if you choose to pay this way, and we will only dispatch the goods on clearance of your cheque. Orders by credit or debit card can also be processed by telephone.

When will you be Charged?
Your card will be debited when you confirm your order with Secure Trading. If you pay by cheque it will be banked when we receive it.

HOW WILL MY PLANT ARRIVE?

Most of our trees and plants are delivered flat-packed which minimises any chance of damage. The branches and the foliage may need to be arranged into shape. To do this stand the tree upright and starting from the base gently bend and tease the leaves and branches out. PRIVACY
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.We will not pass your name or address onto any third party.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us.The type of information we will collect about you includes:your name, address, phone number, email address and credit/debit card detailsWe will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. CANCELLATIONS

Don’t forget to include your name, address and telephone number including dialing code. We cannot be responsible for any item that fails to reach us, so please register your parcel.
Orders may be cancelled within 5 days being sent to us. You may phone our customer services number 01524 851017 or email at mail@redhotplants.co.uk. If you phone us initially, we would ask that you confirm the cancellation by email. If you cancel before the goods have been despatched, we will refund your money in total within 30 working days.

If we have despatched the goods, we ask that you telephone 01524 851017 or email to mail@redhotplants.co.uk, advising us that you wish to return the goods. Any returns must be made within 10 days of you receiving the goods. In this case we will not refund your costs in sending the product back to us and reserve the right to deduct our original delivery cost in sending the product to you, from your refund. The item(s) must be returned to us unused and in as new condition. You will be liable for all postage costs incurred as a result of returning an item to us. We cannot issue a refund until we have received the goods.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Artificial plants are also referred to as replica or silk plants. Silk is a little misleading as the foliage is made of a polyester fabric. Some trees have inherently flame-retardant foliage. This is necessary for use in nightclubs, care homes, shopping centres, etc. . Fabric foliage will fray over time if used outside so we have a range of trees with plastic foliage for outdoor use. See the Topiary Section.

The stems of our trees are generally real (treated) wood. Most of the leaves are mounted on a plastic covered wire which allows you to bend the foliage into a natural shape.

All trees are of high quality and are very realistic, often, if not always, prompting the question "are they real?". Most trees and plants are cemented into a 4-6in black plastic pot which holds the stems together.

Your tree should be planted in a decorative planter to show it to its best advatage. Please note that in all our photos the trees are planted in pots, but these are not necessarily available to buy. Also the choice of pots available may differ according to the tree purchased. None of our planters are ceramic (they weigh a lot and break too easily in transit) so if you would like a ceramic or a genuine terracotta pot you will need to buy that locally. Our own pots are plastic or glassfibre but are good enough to be mistaken for the real thing!
